Tampa moves its public document search to a new OnBase viewer as SIRE is retired
Executed ordinances, resolutions, executive orders and CRA resolutions will be searchable through the OnBase Public Access Viewer.
TAMPA - Residents who look up City of Tampa ordinances and resolutions online now have a new place to search. The city said its SIRE Public Access search was to be taken offline at 8 a.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 28, with the OnBase Public Access Viewer taking its place.
The new viewer covers executed executive orders, ordinances, resolutions and Community Redevelopment Agency resolutions, according to the city's announcement. It supports searches by text, keywords and wildcards, the city said.
The city has posted step-by-step instructions for the viewer and asked users to delete saved SIRE links and bookmark the new viewer instead. Questions about a specific document go to the City Clerk's Office.
The viewer's own page says it holds documents from 2019 to the present; for older CRA resolutions, executive orders, ordinances and resolutions, it directs people to email the City Clerk's Office.
