TAMPA - Hillsborough County commissioners voted 4-3 on Oct. 21 to add a ZooTampa project to the county's Community Investment Tax project list, according to the vote announced in the county's meeting video.

Commissioners Cohen, Hagan and Myers voted no.

County budget staff told the board the zoo items follow its Oct. 7 action approving a funding agreement with ZooTampa for a capital contribution. A related item amends the county's capital improvement program and budget "to add the 1st $5,000,000" for the project, staff said.

Official minutes for the meeting had not been posted as of Sunday.
