Nvidia offers free blueprints for companies to build their own AI agents
The Santa Clara chipmaker's NemoClaw bundles open AI models with security tools so businesses can run agents on their own machines.
Nvidia said Oct. 30 that it is offering NemoClaw, a set of free, open blueprints that companies can use to build AI agents they control. An AI agent is software that can carry out multi-step tasks, such as researching a question or editing code, on its own.
The Santa Clara chipmaker said a blueprint pairs agent software, from options including OpenClaw and LangChain's Deep Agents, with Nvidia's own Nemotron AI models and OpenShell, a protected space that limits what an agent can touch on a computer.
Companies can run the setup in the cloud, in their own data centers or on Nvidia-powered desktop computers, Nvidia said. The company describes it as a setup businesses control themselves.
Nvidia said LangChain, an AI software company, found its tuned agents on Nemotron came close to top commercial models at about one-tenth the cost per task.
