Valkyries, Dream meet in Game 7 for first WNBA title
Golden State hosts Atlanta on Saturday at Chase Center after losing Game 6.
The Golden State Valkyries host the Atlanta Dream in Game 7 of the WNBA Finals on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Chase Center in San Francisco. The winner is the league champion, and neither team has won a WNBA title, according to the team's playoff page and the league.
The series is tied 3-3. Atlanta won Game 6 on Thursday, 80-69, in Atlanta. Allisha Gray scored 23 points for the Dream, Rhyne Howard added 21 and Angel Reese had 15 points and 13 rebounds. Gabby Williams led Golden State with 26 points. Tiffany Hayes added 15.
Hayes, who played 10 seasons for Atlanta, left the court slowly after a collision while chasing a loose ball with about five minutes left, the Associated Press reported. The team had not given an update on her by Thursday night. "She looked good to me. She looked fine," Valkyries coach Natalie Nakase said, USA Today reported.
Gray is playing through a left-hand injury that kept her out of two semifinal games, the league said.
Golden State, in its second season, went 32-12. Atlanta went 30-14. The Valkyries beat Dallas in the first round and swept the defending champion Las Vegas Aces. Nakase, the 2025 Coach of the Year, finished second in this year's voting.
After Golden State's Game 5 win, fans chanted "MVP" for center Kiah Stokes, who had 13 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. "We got one more," Stokes told the crowd.
Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster. The game airs on USA, Peacock and CNBC.
