San Jose State men's golf finishes 13th at Ka'anapali Classic

Dominic Lucchesi shot a team-best 67 in Tuesday's final round.

LAHAINA, Hawaii - San Jose State's men's golf team finished 13th of 20 teams at the Ka'anapali Classic, which ended Tuesday, Oct. 27, according to SJSU Athletics. The Spartans' three-round team score was 19 over par, meaning 19 strokes more than the course's set score.

Dominic Lucchesi led the team. He shot a 4-under-par 67 in the final round, with six birdies (holes played one stroke under par), and finished tied for 17th at 2 under par, the school said.

Keshav "KC" Mungali tied for 45th at 4 over par. Noah Scavo tied for 70th, Grant Leary tied for 77th and Ryan Pupach tied for 90th.

Tournament officials changed the schedule because bad weather was forecast. Play began Sunday, 27 holes were played Monday, and the last nine holes were played Tuesday morning at the Ka'anapali Royal Golf Course, the school said.

The Spartans' next event is the Southwestern Invitational, Jan. 25-26, 2027, at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.
