Council defers East Bank Redevelopment Plan Amendment No. 3 to Nov. 5 public hearing after committees approve it
BL2026-1567 passed first reading Sept. 15 and was approved Oct. 5 by Budget and Finance and Planning and Zoning before Capp's deferral motion.
NASHVILLE - The Metro Council on Oct. 6 deferred BL2026-1567, an ordinance approving Amendment No. 3 to the East Bank Redevelopment Plan, to its Nov. 5 meeting and called for a public hearing then, according to the bill's Legistar history.
The record says Council Member Clay Capp moved the deferral and the Council approved it by voice vote. The bill had passed first reading Sept. 15, and the Budget and Finance Committee and the Planning and Zoning Committee each approved it Oct. 5. Legistar lists Capp, Jason Spain, Rollin Horton and Emily Benedict as sponsors.
The matter record shows an agenda date of Nov. 5, 2026, and a status of Public Hearing. Nashville.gov lists the Council's Nov. 5 meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Historic Metro Courthouse. The record does not describe what the amendment changes, and Oct. 6 vote totals were not listed.
