Metro Council to meet Thursday, Nov. 5, because of Election Day
Vice Mayor called a special meeting at 6:30 p.m.; committees meet Nov. 4 and 5.
NASHVILLE - The Metro Council will hold a special meeting Thursday, Nov. 5, at 6:30 p.m. because of the Nov. 3 general election, according to an Oct. 2 release from the Council Office. Vice Mayor Angie Henderson called the meeting.
Council committees will meet Wednesday, Nov. 4 and Thursday, Nov. 5 ahead of the full meeting, the release says. Council rules bar Council and committee meetings on a day when the Election Commission oversees an election.
The meetings are in the David Scobey Council Chamber at the Historic Courthouse & City Hall, are open to the public and can be viewed at stream.nashville.gov and on the MNN YouTube channel. The Oct. 6 minutes show several items deferred to the Nov. 5 meeting.
