NASHVILLE - Belmont men's basketball opens its regular season against Southern Indiana at 6:30 p.m. Central on Monday, Nov. 2, at the Curb Event Center, according to a Belmont Athletics release. The game will stream on ESPN+.
It is the first game for head coach Evan Bradds, a former Belmont standout hired after Casey Alexander left for Kansas State. Bradds was an assistant and offensive coordinator at Duke in 2025-26 after nearly a decade on NBA staffs with Boston and Utah, the release says.
The Bruins, who won the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season title last season, return six players and add nine newcomers. Jack Smiley and Eoin Dillon are on the MVC preseason watch list.
Southern Indiana, in its fifth Ohio Valley Conference season, is coached by Stan Gouard and led by guard Kaden Brown, who averaged 11.1 points last season. It is the first meeting between the programs.
