Metro Council creates Rivergate Infrastructure Development District
NASHVILLE - The Metro Council voted 31-0 on Oct. 6 to create the Rivergate Infrastructure Development District, according to the council's meeting minutes. Metro's Legistar record for resolution RS2026-2294 shows the mayor approved it Oct. 7.
The resolution responds to a petition from Rivergate MP Holdings LLC, an Ohio company the text says owns every parcel in the district. Under a 2025 state law, Metro can levy a special assessment on property inside such a district and use the money for public infrastructure and to repay bonds. A draft agreement attached to the resolution names the Industrial Development Board as bond issuer.
No one spoke at the public hearing, the minutes state.
