Visitation and Mass Thursday, Oct. 15, followed by a luncheon
NASHVILLE - Barbara Ann Sommer Huljak died Sept. 21, according to an obituary notice from Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home. The notice says she was born July 11, 1947, in Madison, Wisconsin, and that Nashville was the couple's chosen retirement city.
The notice says she volunteered with Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee, which raises funds for young people with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Bob Huljak, three children and 11 grandchildren, the notice states.
A celebration of life is planned Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, 2015 West End Ave. Visitation is listed for 9:30 to 10 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass and an 11 a.m. luncheon in the cathedral's Fleming Center. The notice says another service will be held in Wisconsin at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee, Alive Hospice or Abe's Garden Community.
