Miami zoning board to weigh city-led land use and zoning changes along SW 7th Street
MIAMI - The City of Miami's Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board is scheduled Wednesday, Nov. 4, to take up two city-initiated changes for a group of properties along Southwest 7th Street between Southwest 30th and 32nd avenues, according to the board's posted agenda.
The first item would change the future land use designation of those properties from single-family residential to duplex residential, and of a property at 3003 SW 8th St. from single-family residential to restricted commercial. A companion item would rezone the 7th Street properties from T3-L, the limited suburban transect zone, to T3-O, the open suburban transect zone.
The city is the applicant on both items, and the Planning Department recommended approval, the agenda shows. The properties are in Commission District 4.
The board acts in an advisory role here: its resolutions would recommend that the City Commission approve the ordinances, and the commission makes the final decision. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive.
