Utah State volleyball rallies from two sets down to beat Texas State

LOGAN - Utah State's volleyball team lost the first two sets to Texas State on Wednesday night, then won the next three to take the match 23-25, 23-25, 25-13, 25-12, 15-10 at the Wayne Estes Center, according to the official USU Athletics box score.
Olivia Ruy led the Aggies with 21 kills and Sami Blackett added 20, the box score shows. Silina Damuni had 50 assists, Ava Napierski had eight blocks, and Justyna Novakova led the team with 17 digs.
Utah State outhit Texas State.239 to.074 for the match and finished with 62 kills to the Bobcats' 49. The Aggies hit.395 in the fourth set, when they had 18 kills and three errors. Attendance was 945.
Texas State's Brooke Bentke and Peyton McKee each had 12 kills, and Dylan Gilkey had 42 assists.
Utah State stays home to play Oregon State at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the Wayne Estes Center on Veterans Appreciation night, according to the USU events calendar.
