Cedar, Canyon View win openers at state volleyball
Cedar beat Bear River before falling to Provo; Canyon View swept Providence Hall, then lost to Delta.
CEDAR CITY - Cedar and Canyon View high schools each won their opening match Thursday, Oct. 29, at the UHSAA 3A and 4A girls volleyball state tournaments, according to the UHSAA scores page. The 3A/4A tournament is being played Thursday and Friday at Utah Valley University's UCCU Center, according to UHSAA state tournament information.
In 4A, Cedar beat Bear River 3-1 in a 10:30 a.m. match, then fell 3-0 to Provo at 1:30 p.m. Cedar is scheduled to play Ridgeline at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, according to the UHSAA scores page.
In 3A, Canyon View swept Providence Hall 3-0 at 3:30 p.m., then lost 3-1 to Delta at 6:30 p.m., according to the UHSAA scores page. Delta had swept Richfield 3-0.
The UHSAA scores page lists set totals only; it does not post individual statistics for these matches.
