CHS bomb threat on conference day probed as possible swatting
Police cleared Charlottesville High on Oct. 2 after a reported threat; searches found no explosives.

Charlottesville Police got a report of a bomb threat at Charlottesville High School at 11:38 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2. It was a family-teacher conference day, so there were no regular classes, and the staff, parents and students on campus were moved to the football stadium.
Police Chief Michael Kochis said investigators think the call may have been swatting. Sweeps and a K-9 search found no explosives. Classes resume this week; no arrest had been announced.
