Apex closes more than $589 million financing for 150 MW Illinois solar
The Charlottesville-based developer lined up Helaba, KeyBank and Barclays for Spring Creek Solar.
Apex Clean Energy, based in Charlottesville, said Oct. 1 that it closed more than $589 million in financing for Spring Creek Solar, a 150-megawatt project in Macon County, Illinois.
Helaba and KeyBank provided construction and term loans, and Barclays provided tax equity, its first such deal with Apex. Construction will be in Illinois; the local tie is the company's headquarters.
