MTD runs Illini football game-day bus reroutes Friday near campus

CHAMPAIGN - The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District is running significant campus-area bus reroutes Friday, Nov. 6, for the University of Illinois football game, according to the district's Illini Football Game Day Reroute notice. The listing says the reroutes run from the beginning of service until about midnight Nov. 7.

MTD says the changes begin about 6 a.m. for Yellow, Gold, Navy and Link trips that use Oak, Stadium, First, Kirby, St. Mary's and Fourth near campus, and that a second set of changes begins about 12:30 p.m. for additional Blue, Bronze, Brown, Illini and related Gold and Yellow Hopper patterns. The notice describes the afternoon window as lasting until about midnight.

Riders should check the district's reroutes page for stop closures and the exact turn-by-turn paths for each route. The same page continues to list other active construction reroutes, including Perkins Road from Cunningham to Carroll.
