No. 3 Illinois routs UIC 101-66 in final exhibition

CHAMPAIGN - No. 3 Illinois beat UIC 101-66 Wednesday night at State Farm Center to close its men's basketball exhibition schedule, according to the official box score posted by Illinois Athletics.

Illinois led 59-24 at halftime after shooting 21 of 35 from the field in the first half. The Illini finished 37 of 68 overall and 15 of 38 from 3-point range, outrebounded the Flames 44-30 and had 28 assists, the box score shows. Attendance was 14,625.

Tomislav Ivisic led Illinois with 14 points in 20 minutes, and Ethan Brown added 12. Quentin Coleman, Jake Davis, Zavier Zens, Lucas Morillo and Stefan Vaaks each scored 10, giving Illinois seven players in double figures. Coleman also had seven rebounds and five assists, and Morillo grabbed eight rebounds.

UIC shot 27 of 68 and 5 of 27 from 3-point range.

Illinois opens the regular season against FDU at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at State Farm Center, according to the athletics department.
