Champaign Park District hosts free Family STEM Night Oct. 27 at Martens Center

CHAMPAIGN - The Champaign Park District will hold a free Family STEM Night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Martens Center, 1515 N. Market St., according to the district's event page. Registration is required.

The evening is hosted by the Illinois Science Explorers, which the district describes as a science outreach effort from the University of Illinois. Children and adults can work through hands-on experiments and other science activities together, and free pizza will be served, the page says.

To keep waste down, the district asks guests to bring their own reusable water bottles.

The page does not list an age range, a capacity or a registration deadline. Families can sign up through the district's registration page, and questions can go to the contact listed on the event page at 217-819-3971.
