Oct. 17 was the last listed date for the history museum's Downtown Urbana walking tour
URBANA - The Champaign County History Museum's Downtown Urbana Historic Buildings walking tour was scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, the last date the museum lists for the tour, according to its tours page. The only other date the page lists for the Urbana tour is June 27.
The guided walk, set to begin at the center of Lincoln Square Mall, looks at the historic buildings that remain in downtown Urbana, which was chosen as the county seat in 1833 and was shaped by the railroad and local businesses. The museum's home page says its history walks give every participant an individual headphone device.
Neither museum page lists a later date for the Urbana tour. The home page lists another history walk, Haunts and Legends of UIUC, on Oct. 30, and the tours page lists history walk tickets at $15 for nonmembers and $10 for members. For future tours, see the museum's tours page or call 217-356-1010.
