High school sports schedule: Central at Centennial football Friday
Local games and IHSA postseason dates, Oct. 15-21
CHAMPAIGN - Champaign Central is scheduled to play football at Centennial at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, according to Central's official athletics calendar. Other dates below come from official school calendars and the Illinois High School Association.
Thursday, Oct. 15: St. Thomas More volleyball hosts Prairie Central at 7 p.m. at the STM gym. Urbana volleyball plays at Normal West at 7 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 16: Central at Centennial football, 7 p.m. St. Thomas More football plays at West Central at 7 p.m. Central girls tennis is listed at the IHSA sectionals Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16-17, on Central's athletics calendar. St. Thomas More's athletics events page also lists its girls tennis team at IHSA sectionals Oct. 16-17.
Monday, Oct. 19: St. Thomas More boys soccer plays Unity in a regional semifinal on the road. A start time has not been posted.
For Friday, the National Weather Service forecasts a chance of rain showers after 4 p.m. and a high near 54, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Friday night, it calls for a chance of showers before 7 p.m. (30%), then partly cloudy skies and a low around 38.
