Boise State is No. 25 in the first College Football Playoff rankings

The 7-1 Broncos are the only Group of Six team the selection committee ranked.

BOISE CITY — Boise State football is No. 25 in the first College Football Playoff rankings, released Tuesday evening, Nov. 3, according to Boise State Athletics.

The Broncos (7-1, 4-0 Pac-12) are the only Group of Six team the selection committee ranked. Boise State Athletics says it is the program's 27th week in the CFP rankings since they began in 2014, and the fourth time the Broncos have been in the top 25 in the first week of the rankings.

Boise State is on a seven-game winning streak and has scored at least 30 points in each of those wins, the first time the program has done that since 2014, the release says. Running back Dylan Riley leads the nation with 1,049 rushing yards, and the team averages 222.8 rushing yards per game, 11th in the country.

The 2026 season is the third year of the 12-team playoff bracket. Boise State played in the 2024 College Football Playoff, the first year of that format.

Next up: Boise State plays at Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colorado, at 4 p.m. MT Saturday, Nov. 7. The game will be televised nationally on USA Sports.
