BOISE CITY — Two Boise congregations list gatherings open to the public this weekend.

The Islamic Center of Boise, 3077 Christine St., holds Friday khutbahs, the sermon at weekly congregational prayer, at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., according to its website. The center says it welcomes people of all faiths.

Whitney United Methodist Church, 3315 W. Overland Road, hosts Soup Sunday on Nov. 8 from 11 a.m. to noon. The church's calendar describes it as food and fellowship after worship.

Congregations can send dated events to the paper's Faith desk through the submit page.
